Local Government elections 2024

The 2024 NSW Local Government elections will be held on Saturday 14 September 2024. Voting in the Local Government (Council) elections is compulsory for all electors included on the electoral roll.
To update your enrolment details online, or to download an enrolment form, visit the Australian Electoral Commission website aec.gov.au or call 13 23 26 or obtain an enrolment form from your local Post Office.Check your enrolment
Voting is compulsory at NSW Local government elections. Check where you are enrolled to vote or update your enrolment details.
You must vote at a venue in your enrolled Council area (or ward if you live in a divided Council area). You cannot vote at a venue in another area. Use the address lookup tool to find your Council or ward. Polling place locations will be made available closer to the election date.
No interstate voting
As electors cannot vote outside their Council area or ward, the NSW Electoral Commission is not providing interstate voting. Electors who will be travelling and unable to attend to vote in their area can postal vote.
Thinking of nominating as a candidate?
Warren Shire Council is hosting two (2) Candidate Briefing Workshops to provide prospective candidates with essential information and an understanding of what the role of a Councillor entails. The workshops will be held this Wednesday, 31 July 2024 at the Warren Shire Council Conference Room, 115 Dubbo Street, Warren as follows:
- Workshop 1 – 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm; and
- Workshop 2 – 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm.
