This month I’ve been reminded of the strength and community spirit that runs through our Shire.
From standing side-by-side at our ANZAC Day services, to the dedication of our Council team making real progress on our roads and flood recovery, it’s clear that when we work together, great things happen.
Over the coming weeks and months, you’ll have several important opportunities to help shape the future of our community. A number of key Council plans and policies are now on public exhibition, and I encourage you to take a look and share your thoughts. Your voice matters, and so does your lived experience.
The newly approved Warren Flood Study Consultancy also offers a chance to directly influence the direction of our flood resilience. With strong local input and ongoing engagement through the Floodplain Risk Management Committee, we’re ensuring that our community’s needs are always at the heart of the work.
It’s a big weekend for us all. As we head to the polls, I urge everyone to reflect on what matters most to our community and cast your vote with the future in mind. This is your chance to help shape the national conversation and ensure regional voices like ours are heard loud and clear.
I also hope you take time to enjoy what’s on offer at the Warren Chamber Music Festival over the next few days. Last night’s gala performance was one of the most memorable events I’ve experienced in our Shire, with nearly 200 people coming together to enjoy an evening of world-class music, fine food, and local hospitality. The calibre of talent, including the exceptional New Zealand String Quartet, was nothing short of extraordinary. It’s these moments that make Warren Shire such a special place to call home.
