From the Mayor's Desk - September Council News

After such a fantastic community effort during the Regional NSW stay-at-home orders, Warren Shire benefited from an early easing of restrictions. I want to thank the community and all of our healthcare workers for their continued efforts to keep our Shire safe. We are currently one of the highest vaccinated regions across NSW, as of 23 September, Warren Shire had 90% of our eligible population with their first vaccination and 63% double vaccinated. These are vaccination rates that we can all be very proud of.

The easing of restrictions means we are now able to enjoy events as a community and this weekend sees an open day at ‘Burrima’ Boardwalk. On Sunday, 3 October, you can bring a picnic and enjoy the wildlife that calls Macquarie Marshes home. The Warren War Memorial Swimming Pool will also open for the season this weekend.

Enjoy these times as a community and please continue to keep each other safe, follow the COVID-19 requirements for all venues and maintain a habit of socially distancing when out and about.

Clr Milton Quigley

MAYOR
