There was an extremely good roll-up of community members last week at the community consultation evening in Nevertire for feedback and ideas regarding the Nevertire Water Reservoir Mural and the Public Art on Private Property Murals Project.  Community Consultation for feedback and ideas for these two (2) mural projects closes at 4.00pm Thursday, 11th November 2021, so get your ideas in quickly so they can be considered by the Warren Public Arts Committee.

 

Council has a further consultation evening at Nevertire at 5.30pm Thursday 4th November 2021, in the Nevertire Community Park to allow Council’s Engineering Services Department Staff to detail the upcoming kerb and gutter/footpath replacement works program that will take place in Nevertire over the coming months.

 

Everyone needs to dust off those old Christmas decorations and bring on the Christmas cheer, with the Santa Street competition on again.  The judging of Santa Street will be undertaken anytime from Friday, 17th December to Sunday, 19th December 2021.  So, start talking to your neighbours and get your decorations and light show ready.

 

The recently purchased Warren Chamber of Commerce/Warren Shire Council Christmas Tree is expected to arrive soon and Council will be making contact with interested business houses in Warren for their interest in displaying the window Christmas star lights and decorations.

 

Council has implemented a new Request for Quotation (RFQ) platform in partnership with VendorPanel with the new system used to seek local suppliers and invite them to quote on the provision of goods and services for Council.  VendorPanel Marketplace is free for suppliers and once registered your business profile will be visible to buyers searching for the products/services you provide.  For more information on VendoPanel please visit the Warren Shire Council website at:  www.warren.nsw.gov.au/council/procurement

 

Council considered the Audited Financial Statements for the Year Ending 30th June 2021 at its Meeting on 28th October 2021.  Council received an unqualified Audit Report from the NSW Auditor General on the 7th October 2021.  Submissions on the Audited Financial Statements close on Thursday, 4th November 2021.

 

We are all reminded of the Remembrance Day Ceremony that will be held in Macquarie Park 10.45am for 11.00am Thursday, 11th November 2021.
