Warren Shire Council 2024 - Future Priorities: 

  • Warren War Memorial Swimming Pool Kiosk and Amenities $1.2M Construction;
     
  • Completion of the AGRN 960 March 2021 Flood and Storm Damage Restoration Program;
     
  • Commencement and programming of the Flood and Storm Damage Restoration Programs for AGRN 987 November 2021, AGRN 1025 June 2022, AGRN 1030 August 2022, AGRN 1034 September 2022 (estimated at more than $13M of road restoration work);
     
  • Finalisation of an extensive program of heavy patching and reconstruction works on State Highway 11 Oxley Highway within Warren Shire;
     
  • Commencement of the $7.1M Warren Town Levee Rehabilitation Project;
     
  • Completion of the Carter Oval Youth Sports Precinct Development;
     
  • $3.4M Reconstruction of 8km Nevertire – Bogan Road; and
     
  • Improvements to Warren Water and Sewer Assets – Sewerage Treatment Lagoon, Pump Station Improvements, Storage Improvements and Increase.

 

Warren Shire Council - Previous Achievements: 

2023

  • Completion of the $1.275M state-of-the-art Western Plains Equestrian Centre;
     
  • Road reconstruction works - $1.7M Ellengerah Road Rehabilitation, $1.67M Extension Construction Old Warren Road, $800,000 Collie-Trangie Road Reconstruction, $300,000 Marthaguy Road Reconstruction, $3.4M Reconstruction including 12 new culverts on Warren Road, $900,000 Warren Main Street Asphaltic Concrete Rehabilitation, $650,000 Dragon Cowal Causeway Construction;
     
  • Recommencement of a 15-year Plant Replacement Program – new road train prime mover, dolly and side-tipper combination, two new rubber tyred rollers; and
     
  • Completion of the Warren Shire Mural Program.


2022

  • Development of the new Warren Shire 2035 Community Strategic Plan, 4-year Delivery Program and Annual Operational Plan;
     
  • Management of the continuous flood of the Macquarie River and creeks throughout the area, with a 24/7 emergency levee operation, roads flood and storm damage management, manning of the State Highway 11 Oxley Highway road closure, taking into account local knowledge and information; 
     
  • Commencement of taking back the Routine Maintenance Councils Contract (RMCC) for the State Highway 11 Oxley Highway within the Warren Shire;
     
  • Finalisation of the management of the Warren Family Health Centre General Practice services by the Royal Flying Doctor Service; and
     
  • Warren Street Christmas Party 2022, which won Community Event of the Year. 


2021

  • Completion of the $6.5M Warren Sewerage Treatment Works;
     
  • Refurbishment of the Nevertire Water Reservoir;
     
  • Commencement of celebration of the talents of our people through the Women of Warren Shire profiles and Warren Wednesday photography services; and 
     
  • Undertaking the inspection, assessment, analysis and applications for the March 2021 and November 2021 Flood and Storm Damage Road Programs.
