Stronger Country Communities Fund
The NSW Government is investing in infrastructure to support regional communities. The first of six funds to be released is to support regional councils improve local infrastructure such as parks, playgrounds, walking and cycle pathways as well as refurbishing existing local facilities such as community centres and libraries. Also included is the enhancement of local parks and the supporting facilities such as; kitchens and toilet blocks. (Note: Construction and maintenance of roads and road bridges are excluded from consideration for grant funding.) Based on the feedback from previous community surveys and studies, 3 proposed projects are being considered by Warren Shire Council.
Project 1 - The Lawson Street pedestrian and cyclist bridge and pathways, connecting the town with Calara House and the Warren Multi Purpose Health Service as well as the Victoria Oval Sporting Precinct, including the Sporting and Cultural Centre.
Project 2 - The walking and cycling system identified in the Warren Health, Sporting and Culture Precinct Connection Study completed in 20167.16 MB.
Project 3 - The Macquarie Park Revitalisation Project.
